The foundation stone of the 7-storey academic-cum-workshop building of Panchagarh Government Technical School and College
has been laid. Panchagarh-1 Constituency Member of Parliament Majaharul Haque Pradhan inaugurated the foundation stone of
the building in Talma area of Panchagarh Sadar Upazila on Sunday afternoon. Later, Panchagarh Municipality Mayor Zakia
Khatun, Panel Mayor Safiqul Islam, Panchagarh Government Technical School and College Principal Abdul Matin Dali
and Panchagarh Department of Education and Engineering Executive Engineer Deepak Kumar Mandal spoke as special guests along with
Moinuddin, the contractor responsible for the construction of the institution. Teachers, students and local dignitaries of Panchagarh Technical School
and College were present.
According to the sources of Directorate of Education and Engineering, a 7-storey academic-cum-workshop building is being constructed at a cost of Tk 10 crore 10 lakh
under the implementation of the technical and madrasa department of the Ministry of Education and under the supervision of the Directorate of Education
and Engineering under the capacity building project of 64 technical schools and colleges.
